James Thomas first married Sarah Catherine Hammel. Born on 13 May 1857 in Wilberton, Fayette, Illinois. Sarah Catherine died in Peck, Nez Perce, Idaho, on 27 Jun 1899; she was 42.

They had the following children:

	i.	Saphronia Almeda. Born in Aug 1881 in Mowequa, Shelby, Illinois.

		i.	Mayna Faye. Born on 28 Nov 1901 in Peck, Nez Perce, Idaho. Mayna Faye died in Brookings, Curry, Oregon, in 1975; she was 73.
		ii.	Daniel Calvin. Born on 6 Oct 1906 in Peck, Nez Perce, Idaho. Daniel Calvin died in Brookings, Curry, Oregon, on 31 Oct 1967; he was 61.
		iii.	Howard Everett. Born on 26 Dec 1908 in Peck, Nez Perce, Idaho. Howard Everett died in Grants Pass, Josephine, Oregon, on 30 May 1960; he was 51. Howard Everett married Nellie Louise Berg. Born on 30 Jan 1919 in Kansas City, Kansas.

21. Stephen C. Jaggers. Born on 10 Jan 1876 in illinois. Stephen C. died in illinois on 15 May 1962; he was 86. Buried in Long Grove Cemetery, Macon, Illinois.

In 1895 when Stephen C. was 18, he married Nancy J Bryson in Macon, Illinois.

They had the following children:

		i.	Homer E.. Born on 2 Nov 1899 in Assumption, Christian, Illinois. Homer E. died in Decatur, Macon, Illinois, on 7 Jan 1991; he was 91. Buried in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, Christian, Illinois.
		ii.	Bessie F.. Born on 22 Aug 1904 in Christian, Illinois. Bessie F. died in Decatur, Macon, Illinois, on 8 Jul 2005; she was 100. Bessie F. married Coffman.
