David Elgin Campbell, 88, of Marshalltown, died early Tuesday morning, November 30th, at the MMSC. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 4th, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Daniel Johnson officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Harry C. Harter Post #839. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Born on December 21st, 1921, near Gilman, Iowa, he was the son of John Bruce and Linnie Margaret (Paul) Campbell. He received his education in the area of his birth. During WWII, he served our country honorably in the United States Army Air Corps as a paratrooper. On August 10th, 1946, he was united in marriage to Vivian Colleen Kutzner in Chicago. They made Marshalltown their home where he was employed by Consolidated Freightways, Transcon and later Midland Trucking as a driver traveling nearly 2 million miles. In the 1970’s, they moved to Albuquerque, NM, but returned to their home in Marshalltown about ten years later. David Elgin was a man of faith and is now present with his Lord and Savior. He treasured his family and in years past liked to go hunting, trapping, fishing and enjoyed nature. He will be greatly missed. 
Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters: Colleen Vry of Marshalltown, Pam Snider of Marshalltown and Patty Wiebensohn of Marshalltown as well as 30 plus grandchildren, 20 plus great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings Jean, Floyd, Bill, Lester and Fred and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 
In death, he rejoined his parents, his daughters Sandy Van Horn (1983), Sharon Daggett (1973), his loving wife Vivian Colleen on March 1, 1988, grandson William Elgin and granddaughter Vivian Tori, as well as siblings Dale, Dora, Robert, Don and Max.

Hunter Snider was born on February 8, 2000, to Shane Ersland and Lacy Snider in Marshalltown. He lived in Marshalltown most of his life and 3 years ago moved to Story City- where he was attending Roland Story Middle School- and was currently in  5th grade. Hunter enjoyed baseball, football, snow boarding, skate boarding and video games, and loved his little brother Carter, step-brother Gage and cousin Joey. 
Left to cherish his memory are his parents; mother Lacy Snider (Josh Lake) of Story City, his father Shane Ersland of Sioux City, his brother Carter and step-brother Gage of Baxter, and his grandparents; Pam Snider , Bruce and Ann Ersland , and great grandpa Rufus Hoffman of Marshalltown. Also surviving are aunt  Dana and uncle  Jeff Kosinski and their children Joey, Maggie and Ellie of Marshalltown and aunt Sharon Hopkins (Ray) of Atlanta, Georgia and lots of  aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. 
Hunter will be rejoined in heaven by grandpa Harold Snider and great- grandparents Margaret Hoffman and David and Vivian Campbell.

 Joyce Marie Kutzner was born February 18, 1930, to Joseph and Dorothy (Grant) Bleakley in Triumph, Minnesota. She received her education in Welcome, Minnesota.  Joyce then received her nursing education from Evangelical School of Nursing in Marshalltown.    
 In August of 1950, Joyce was united in marriage to Ernest Kutzner Jr. in Marshalltown. They resided in Marshalltown their entire married lives. Joyce had worked as a nurse for 30 years, working as an OB nurse at St. Thomas.  She had worked for Dr. McFadden and retired from Iowa Veterans Home in 1990. Joyce had belonged to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshalltown and several of their circles. She belonged to the VFW Auxiliary Lioness and the Chain Gang, a retired nurses group. Joyce enjoyed her family and traveling with them, quilting, crocheting, collecting marked ash trays and salts, and had always owned and adored her cats.   
  Left to cherish her memory are children Richard (Deni) Kutzner and Ronald Kutzner; her granddaughter Megan Kutzner; and her great-grandchildren Julian Kutzner and Sara Kutzner.       
   In death, she has rejoined her parents, her brother Paul Bleakley; her sister Thelma Lohse, and her husband Ernest, who died in 1993.
